Paneer Kababs

Kebab was served in the royal houses of India since at least the Sultanate period, and even commoners would enjoy it for breakfast with naan. Kebab is mainly a Non-vegetarian dish. But that doesnt mean that vegans cannot eat Kebab. We can substitute meat in Kebab with Paneer and make an interesting recipe like Paneer Kebabs.

1 cup grated paneer
1 tbsp. corn flour
2 tbsp. fine bread crumbs
4 green chillies chopped fine
1/2 tsp. ginger crushed
1/2 tsp. garlic crushed
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1 bread slice
salt to taste
oil to deep fry

Wet the bread slice and squeeze out extra water. Crush coarsely.
Mix all ingredients, except oil and bread crumbs.
Gently knead into a dough.
Make ping pong sized balls and roll in the crumbs to coat the balls.
Heat oil, deep fry the balls on medium fire, till golden brown.
Serve hot with sauce or tamarind chutney.
